Joe Louis Ross

Mr. Joe Louis Ross, 75, of West End, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at The Greens At Pinehurst in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Joe Louis Ross was born on January 20, 1951, in Moore County, North Carolina, to the late Tommie and Evlia Mae Ross. Mr. Ross transitioned to his eternal life peacefully on February 18, 2026, at The Greens of Pinehurst, NC.

He was a faithful member of Creek Grove Holiness Church, under the leadership of Bishop George McKoy. He served as a Trustee for over 20 years. He enjoyed singing a solo every once in a while.

Mr. Ross was educated through Moore County Schools. He was employed by Stanley Furniture and later became a truck driver for several years, working for several companies in the city of New York. He later retired and moved back to Moore County in 2006. Many people loved him. No matter where he went, he was never a stranger.

In addition to his late parents, Joe was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ore Lee Ross, and Rosa Lee Ross Monroe, a special friend, Sarah Campbell, and his brothers, Robert Ross, Fredrick Lewis, Paul Ross, and James Richard Ross.

Those left to cherish fond memories of Joe are, his daughters, Torshia Campbell of Asheboro, NC; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, John Johnson of Gibson, NY and Billy Ross, of Hempsted, Long Island, NY; two sisters, Emily Covington (James) of Troy, NC and Sara Wallace (Theodore) of West End, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
